Meadow Creature Broadfork is THE perfect way to turn over sod, loosen and turn over the soil.
I use this to create new garden areas by turning over the sod, even in super hard clay.
My recommended steps: turn over the clump of sod and dirt, cover with compost, sow cover crops or Milpa, and cover with wood chips.
